After what have been a tough few months for brides-to-be and the world of weddings we caught up with some of our boutiques throughout the UK to ask them what brides-to-be have been buying since they were able to re-open their doors to the public. We look forward to seeing all our real brides at their postponed weddings next year – what a bumper year it is set to be!
Brides-to-be are loving more simple, laid back styles perhaps indicating they are opting for smaller, more intimate weddings. Wesley 18458 from the Victoria Jane Collection has been popular in recent weeks and is a classic example; a sophisticated plain Mikado ballgown with plunging V-neckline and bow detail to the front. The skirt has front pleat detailing and the gown has a high back and is finished with silk covered buttons all the way to the hemline. We love this shimmering Mikado style for an understated and elegant winter wedding. This gown is availble in ivory/nude, classic ivory/ivory or white/white. All Ronald Joyce gowns are available in UK sizes 6-18.
Another plain gown that has been popular with brides-to-be this year is Wynell, style 18469, also from our Victoria Jane Collection. A timeless and classic silhouette again in beautiful shimmering Mikado, this gown has on-trend off-the-shoulder sleeves, a pleated bodice and ballgown skirt with pockets. This is a gown that can really be dressed up or down depending on your theme or wedding – think outside the box and incorporate your own sense of style weather it be a chunky choker style necklace, dried flower corsage, sparkle belt, flower crown or coloured sash. For a winter wedding it would look amazing with a faux fur hand muff and hat. Wynell is available in classic ivory or crisp white.
Last but not least is Delpha, style 69577 - a totally different look which has been getting a lot of attention with our retailers! This gown from our signature Ronald Joyce collection has a sheer tulle halter neck bodice with elaborate lacework and beading paired with a mermaid organza and sparkle tulle skirt. The lace and bead detailing continues onto the upper skirt and train edge. This dress also comes with a modesty bodice for a different look. Delpha is available in either ivory or white.
We hope these gowns inspire your own wedding dress shopping. To find your nearest stockist head over to our store finder and be sure to check out our real brides page to see all of our fabulous real women wearing Ronald Joyce dresses on their special days.
