After seeing Sophie & Benjamin’s beautiful wedding at Eaves Hall in the Ribble Valley on Instagram we just had to get in touch to find out more. Sophie told us all about it…
“Ben and I are childhood sweethearts who grew up close together in our home village of Garswood, Merseyside. One day we took a trip to our favourite city, Liverpool where we love to go, and ate in San Carlo restaurant where Ben asked me to be his wife over a candle lit dinner.
I only went to one bridal shop where I tried on about 6 dresses, most where Ronald Joyce as I was always drawn towards that style when I saw models wearing them when browsing online, especially on Pinterest.
The shop I purchased the gown from is called Romancia, a local bridal shop in Billinge. I went there specifically as I knew they stocked Ronald Joyce dresses. It's a stunning shop and I knew I always wanted to go there because their window displays always looked fabulous.
I chose an ivory very simple but stunning gown; it was quite a big dress but so comfortable & had that real bride feel. It had a very delicate belt which was individually stitched which really finished the dress off. The back of my dress was unreal, it was an open V back with tiny buttons all the way down to the long train.”
Tell us all about the little details which made your day so personal to you…
“My dress was quite simple, so I had a long veil with tiny diamantes on for a touch of glam. My bridesmaids wore fitted nude colour dresses and so I wanted my flowers to be colourful and bright, they were incredible and really brought life to the overall look. My 3 flower girls also had a colourful flower wand each which was fun and looked so cute! All groomsman and the best man wore dark blue suits with a nude/champagne coloured tie to keep with the theme.
I put all 6 bouquets on the top table with tea lights and candelabras. Our favours where personalised love heart biscuits. Our cake was a 4 tier ‘naked cake’ surrounded with fresh fruit and flowers it tasted amazing and had different flavours in each tier.
We had our day filmed and we were overwhelmed when we watched it on tv, you miss so many magical moments, so it is incredible to watch your day back over and over again. A big bonus for me is that I own a Hair and Beauty Salon located close to me in Wigan, so all my worries for looking and feeling amazing on my wedding day was stress free, we are extremely popular during wedding season so we are confident making bridal party's looking perfect. My hair and makeup looked so beautiful on all our photographs thanks to my girls!
By far the best moment of our wedding day was ‘Mark the piano guy!’. We hired him for most of our day, he made our wedding breakfast the most memorable, fun and emotional time when walking down the aisle with my dad which will be unforgettable.

We also had an amazing band in the evening called Agent Smith. They sang our first dance song which was a slow version of 'Sweet child of mine' by Guns & Roses, then everyone took to the dance floor and danced the night away!
My mum also wore a stunning Ronald Joyce dress from the Veni Infantino Mother of the Bride Collection teamed with a beautiful hat that came with her dress, she stood out a mile and had that real 'Mother of the bride' look!”

I must also mention Thomas Ellwood who was our photographer who was extremely helpful in the run up of our wedding and of course on our special day. We wanted more of a relaxed wedding with lots of natural and fun pictures which is exactly what he did.”
