Simple but elegant - that what Sean and I had in mind when we were planning our wedding. We wanted somewhere that we could remember forever, a classy intimate wedding.
Our theme was simple; a dreamy, elegant beach wedding in the sun. We wanted to be transported to an exotic island, far away, just the two of us. That’s why we decided to get married in Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa in the Maldives. It was gorgeous, with crystal clear water, white sand and beautiful sun. It was a perfect setting for a romantic destination wedding.
When picking the dress, I needed something that would match the picturesque setting for our wedding. I started looking online for wedding dresses. I had a small idea of what I wanted but needed to get some inspiration as well.
I found a couple of dress on the Ronald Joyce website and then contacted the stockists to see who had the dress. I went to the lovely Emma’s Bridal in Liverpool and tried on 2 dresses but wasn’t sure and then I tried on the Teresa dress (style 18253) and knew it was the one.
It was so elegant and classy; perfectly fitting into my theme. I loved how it complimented my figure and that the dress felt timeless and refined. It had simple elegance from the front but had a beautiful necklace back that add a glamorous touch with draped beading. When I was it the sun it was breathtaking. I felt beautiful and seamless, like it was made just for me.
June Ross the owner of Emma’s Bridal was fabulous when looking after me. She went above and beyond to make sure the dress was fitted perfectly and that I was comfortable.
The wedding itself went perfectly. The weather was beautiful, with not one cloud in the sky. The sea breeze and white sand made me feel like I was in a dream. I looked and felt beautiful, like a true bride. The dress was spectacular, even better in the tropics, then when I first tried it on. The whole day was like a dream come true.
I loved every minute, and we look back on it as the best day of our lives. We had decided not to have any guest at our wedding and just make it any event for the two of us, which felt very romantic.
